I was lucky enough to get a seat for Adriano Zumbo's baking class yesterday!

Got too excited that I edited the whole 6 hrs video of the class last night... & after countless hours of editing.. I decided it's not appropriate of me to broadcast his class to the world without his permission. So I had to keep it for my personal reference only. :) Sorry,guys..

However.. In this joyous month,

Jungle Pop Cakes!

Sometime ago.. last year I got myself a copy of Cake Pops by bakerella as one of my Xmas self gift books. I have a habit of buying tons of books I didn't get a chance to read by the end of the year, the more reasons to treat yourself and be your own Santa.. Gift giving is an act of generosity after all..no matter who the recipient is.. lol ;P

So i finally get a chance to make some pop cakes early this year for my nephew's 1st bday!

It's very easy to make, could be a lil messy, but fun to do with the kids.

all u need to decorate: colored choco candy, sprinkles, chocolate chips, lollipop sticks, cornflakes/cereals, extra bowls, and styrofoam.

and a cake/cookies.

make a sketch according to the theme that you want.

( be creative in using ingredients that's available to you )

Bunny dollsss!!!

I had a request of putting 3D bunny & doggy on a simple round cake.

so here goes.. I added some buttons and stitchings to make it look like hand sewn dolls.

Alice in Wonderland...

These were cookies that I made along with the Alice in Wonderland themed mini cakes.

To match the pop cakes, I designed Alice & bunny with similar details. using royal icing, colored chocolate candy and caster sugar to create some wonderland sparkles to these babies...

No 2 butterflies are alike.. each have different colors and patterns.. with a few layers of royal icing to create textures.

Meet Jamie Oliver!!! the bunny.. (R.I.P)

I've been wanting to make a post on my new pet since the first day I got him..err her...

(actually I didn't know what gender Jamie was.. I assumed it was a he ;P )

Too bad for the busy schedule I haven't been able to make any postings him..or on anything for that matter.. Sorry for the long wait. I was surprised some of you actually asked why there hadn't been any postings lately, I'm glad to be missed^^

Anyway.. after a good 2 short weeks of his wonderful company, Jamie had a digestion problem*very common death for bunnies..* Since I was overseas at that time, I wasnt around during his death.. :( anyone know any tricks to help them survive longer? the longest record we have so far is 2 months

God bless his soul... Jamie was the best ever! pet bunny I could ever ask for. Although all he did best was to sit still...with his whiskers twitching as he breathe..

My fave part..his round fluffy tail! ^^

So, He's the inspiration for my bunny anatomy ;P

Bunnies in Wonderland

This year, is the Year of Bunnies in Chinese Calendar.

I'm not sure if it's the hype of everything bunnies that influenced me, however I have developed a deep.. massive fascination for bunnies. When I said massive.. I really mean massive.. and u'll see why after the next posting and the next... I'm glad that at the same time I get to do a lot of bunny cakes this year. Just so happened ;P This is one of the bunny themed cake I did earlier this year. Well.. the theme was Alice in Wonderland, since it was close to Easter..

I thought, why not add more bunnies ;P They are after all the Star of the Year ;)

Camera...actionnn!!

I was thrilled to make this cake as I'm a Canon user.. and good thing I was using the same camera, so I get to replicate all the buttons and proportion of the camera easily.
